Bathroom Accessories - Decorate your Haven

For most people, the importance of a good looking bathroom still very much depends on quality and beauty. In the case of bathroom accessories, simple arithmetic is a good gauge. Well known brands that may be slightly expensive are likely to have a wider range of options which will also last longer and have more functionality. On the other hand, if you are on a budget, even cheaper options tend to have "retro appeal" and are unlikely to perish in the first 5 years of use. Bathrooms are not always easy to accessories as the classic problem remains that there are large, permanent fixtures in the room. In addition, bathrooms are not frequented at often as other rooms in the home and tend to be quite small because of their utilitarian nature. This needn't be a deterrent to aspiring interior fans. Bathroom accessories have long been a way to accent a room that in other circumstances generally has a reputation for being cold and uninhabitable. A good way to start with the planning of a bathroom interior is to decide on a few colors that may work together. Two to four colors will work well. The reason for this is that many families color code their towels according to family members. It does not help to have perfectly coded bathroom accessories only to find that the wrong towels are constantly drying on the rails. Once you have done this, find a good, neutral paint color. A lick of paint can transform a room instantly. Always opt for blinds rather than curtains as fabric tends to react with the constant humidity in the room and eventually show the marks and perish. Additional accessories such as mirrors, rails, coat hooks, shelving and even toilet seat covers can be purchased in cheap wooden sets at most DIY stores. These in turn can be colored or stained to match the coloring you have already chosen in your bathroom. Always remember to buy your bathroom accessories at the same time and preferably from the same brand. This will ensure that they match each other properly. Select fittings that you really like, as compromising may become annoying once you have to look at them every day. A bathroom is one place that a person can have fun with things like mirrors as the amount of time spent there will not merit "over doing". Interesting or strange works of art may also work well in this tiny tiled room.
